Rendered Migration

Rendered Migration captures a common Rock Pigeon, a creature so easily dismissed as a nuisance—in a state of impossible velocity and urgent digital flux. The bird is not merely flying in, it is being forcibly rendered from the intangible code of the virtual plane back into physical, tangible matter. It is suspended in a state of simultaneous creation and dissolution, a visual metaphor for our constant, fragmented movement between the digital and the real world.

In our collective fixation on the screen, we have lost our sense of awe and become numb to the simple, available majesty of the physical world. We risk making reality invisible as we endlessly scroll through its rendered substitute.

Rendered Migration is a stark reminder to pull ourselves away from the glow of our devices and appreciate the glorious nature of the world in all its forms—even in the humble, persistent presence of the Rock Pigeon. It is a demand to reconnect with the authentic, non-streamed experience of life.
